The suites at Xixim Mundo Imperial are absolutely amazing. The living area is cozy and perfect for relaxing, and the private terrace with hammocks is a dream come true. I could spend hours just enjoying the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Personally, I didn't enjoy the feeling of the bathrooms being outdoors. It was a bit too close to nature for my liking.

The hotel is beautifully and secludedly located on a great white sandy beach. You are completely on your own, so perfect for a couples holiday. The rooms are very nice and well equipped. The beds are great for sleeping and the restaurant is very good. The staff was very friendly and always tried to fulfill our wishes. We also used the sports room and were happy about the hotel's closeness to nature. We saw iguanas and many birds between the bungalows.
Unfortunately, the road to the hotel is very bad and a little challenging for self-drivers. It would be desirable to clean the beach regularly from seaweed and other pollution. What was very disappointing was the language skills of the staff. In a hotel of this price range we expected English speaking staff. If we would not have spoken a little spanish, then ordering food in the restaurant would not have been possible.

idea of an ecological hotel on the beaches of Celestun was excellent. conservation of the surrounding nature, etc. is super. cabins are separated for privacy and comfort. beach is comfortable, full of plants and shells to preserve the "natural" and sea looks like a pool, delicious.
Breakfast is good, but for lunch and dinner they have the same menu. Although there are some very good things, not everything is excellent and if you stay for several days it is a bit tiring. Drink options should improve, although there are certain options on the beach craves greater variety of cocktails and snacks for the afternoon. The most work required is the training of the staff. Much remains to be done. People are very very friendly and try to please you. However, they are not very skilled. They need to improve their attention as waiters, their attention on the beach, in the pool area, etc. The main problem is that they are understaffed and have very long shifts.

I was captivated by the hotel's breathtaking location in the midst of pure nature. The view of the beach and the abundance of wildlife, including over 330 species of birds, made me feel like I was in a true paradise. The spacious master suite provided the perfect retreat, and the nice shower added an extra touch of luxury. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay even more enjoyable. The availability of kayaks, paddle boards, swimming pools, and hammocks allowed me to relax and unwind completely.
While the location was beautiful and relaxing, I did experience some challenges with the summer heat. The cross ventilation was not sufficient for the scorching June temperatures, and the lack of seal under the door allowed bugs to enter the room.

Nice staff and owner of hotel, everyone very friendly, sometimes even a bit too much. It is far from everything but if you love nature and doing nothing, it is perfect.
You can only eat at their restaurant as going to the village is a bit of a trip. The food is really not good. None of us including the kids couldn't eat anything. Pasta tastes weird, meat too. They don't have bread for breakfast. The rooms are really nice but because of the "nature-recycling-touch" you can smell the toiletts all the time.

The staff was very friendly, the comfortable palapa houses right on the beach and in the jungle were very nice, the food in the restaurant was excellent. A tray with coffee and pastries is placed in the palapa at around 7 a.m. (permission is asked beforehand). Then you open the large glass doors, look at the Pacific and enjoy the coffee.
Since the hotel is located in the nature reserve, the way there is not paved. This has advantages: real nature, but also disadvantages: you can no longer drive into the village in the evening, that is 30 minutes and not possible in the dark. It's great for nature lovers and people who want to rest. You can book guided tours, then you will be picked up and taken to Celestun (30 minutes), where you will get on a boat. Our guide didn't explain that much, but we also booked at short notice.

The service is unique (you get lots of unexpected surprises, that I will not give away so that you make sure you go there to discover them yourself). The staff is caring and always ready to help! The suites at Xixim Mundo Imperial are absolutely stunning with their traditional palm-thatched roof cabins. It feels like a tropical paradise! The private terrace with hammocks and rocking chairs is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico. The bathroom that gives the feeling of being outdoors is a unique and refreshing experience. As a nature-loving guest, I felt completely immersed in the beautiful surroundings.
Personally, I found the minibar in the guestrooms to be a bit limited in terms of choices. But hey, everyone's preferences are different, right?

Spent Xmas at this hotel and loved the beautiful natural surroundings and quiet location. The beach was stunning and perfect for long walks, while the staff were friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurant served delicious local cuisine and the rooms were well-maintained and comfortable.
The hotel had a serious mosquito problem which made outdoor dining and activities almost unbearable at times. The location was remote, difficult to reach and lacked any nearby amenities.

This hotel offers luxurious amenities such as a relaxing Spa center, a wonderful outdoor swimming pool, and direct access to a fabulous beach. the garden area is well-maintained, and the staff is attentive and friendly. the buffet breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options. My room had exclusive facilities such as an indoor jacuzzi and a private terrace with stunning views of the ocean.
The only minor issue I encountered at this hotel was the lack of entertainment options in the evening. this was easily resolved as there were plenty of bike trails and other outdoor activities available to enjoy during the day.

We had a wonderful stay at Xixim Mundo. The secluded and tranquil location was perfect for our off-peak season getaway. The staff went above and beyond, even watching our two-year-old son so we could enjoy dinner undistracted. The friendly and attentive staff made us feel safe and well-cared for throughout our stay. The beautiful beach and surrounding nature added to the peaceful atmosphere. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and we loved the option to turn off the electricity and truly detach. The open bathroom was a nice touch, and the bar/restaurant offered great sea views and reasonable prices. The complimentary access to kayaks and paddleboards was a bonus.
Would recommend this hotel.
